Common questions.

Straight answers to what people usually ask before booking a blast or paint job.

Where are you based, and how far do you travel?

Our yard is at 720 Kaikorai Valley Road, Burnside, Dunedin. We work across Dunedin, Mosgiel and the wider Otago and Southland area, either at the yard or on your site with the mobile blast unit.

How do I get a quote?

Call Tom on 027 458 7733 (Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5pm), or email us. It helps to tell us what the item is, roughly how big it is, what coating it has now, what finish you want and where it is. Photos make it quicker to give you a straight price.

Can you come to us instead?

Yes. When gear is too big or awkward to move, the mobile blast unit can come to your yard, farm or worksite. Give us a call to check it suits your job and site.

What can you blast and paint?

Structural steel and fabrication, plant and machinery, trailers, vehicles and parts, boats and marine gear, and plenty of one-off pieces. If you're not sure whether your job suits blasting, call and ask.

How long will my job take?

It depends on the size of the job, the coating that has to come off and the finish going on. We'll give you a timeframe along with your quote.

Do I need to do anything before dropping it off?

Empty out anything loose and tell us about parts that mustn't be blasted, such as bearings, seals, threads or glass, so they can be removed or masked. When you book, ask us what else to sort before drop-off.
